We are currently seeking a forward-thinking and resourceful Email Marketing Strategist to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a top-rated company comprised of fun, dedicated individuals. This self-starter will be responsible for assisting in email strategy and daily productions, scheduling, delivery, and reporting of diverse types of email campaigns.

The Email Marketing Strategist will be responsible for strategic and tactical execution of Ferguson’s B2C and B2B email marketing campaigns and projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience developing and implementing email marketing campaigns along with reporting, database management and content development.

Responsible for leading and scaling enterprise-level email marketing and providing shared service, supporting all customer facing communications across all lines of business with $200M+ annual attributed revenue.

Location: This position is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements short and long-term email marketing strategies to: target sales to existing customers, support lifetime customer value, educate and cultivate relationships with prospects and vendor leads and reduce customer churn.
  • Responsible for crafting vision and a roadmap by using existing and new technologies including automation, personalization, database segmentation, targeting, APIs and modular design.
  • Collaborates with other marketing functional team leads to build comprehensive, coordinated marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure links, images, subject lines, and list segments are accurate and functional by performing final tests and QA on all emails for compatibility with web browsers and email clients.
  • Contributes to the development, implementation, and reporting of email campaign performance and overall effectiveness.
  • Leads all aspects of standard operating processes and procedures related to email marketing and marketing automation.
  • Analyzes email campaign results and reports campaign performance, summarizes key insights, and offers recommendations.
  • Contributes to ongoing email testing roadmap – continually optimizes, analyzes, A/B tests, and makes recommendations on improving email performance to include the following core metrics: open rate, click-through-rate, engagement, and product sales.
  • Contributes to strategy of SMS and push notification campaigns.
  • Understands email marketing projects from a technical point of view - can make data decisions within ESPs to provide the best customer experience while adhering to business practices.
  • Stays current with best practices, strategies, and industry standards related to email.
  • Understands vendor capabilities, expectations, and strategies for applicable 3rd party software (i.e., Eloqua, Responsys, Salesforce, Litmus, LiveClicker, Persado, Everest, etc.) and ensures features and capabilities of software are fully used.
  • Work with manager to decide prioritization of work, timing, critical metrics for campaigns and overall strategy to give best in class email and digital communications.

Qualifications:

  • Eloqua and Responsys (or similar ESP experience) preferred
  • Proven experience (2-3 + years) of email marketing
  • In-depth knowledge of email marketing and marketing automation tools (Eloqua, Responsys, Salesforce, Litmus, LiveClicker, Persado, Everest, etc.)
  • Ability to strategize sophisticated campaigns to meet business needs/goals and optimally communicate programs to various business groups
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Demonstrated understanding of sophisticated data feeds, API calls, and basic SQL
  • Ability to analyze data issues and produce working solutions using tools such as GA360, Domo and PowerBI.
  • Ability to collaborate with others within the internal agency create well-rounded campaigns
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, to be able to identify, pro-actively propose system and process improvements.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to run multiple projects in parallel.
